WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

A seasoned sales professional or former business owner/executive located in or near Traverse City, MI. We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in longer, partnership-driven sales cycles to spearhead the expansion of AxiosHR into Northern Michigan. Ideal candidates will maintain active and extensive connections within the Traverse City/Northern Michigan business communities. The Director of Business Development for HR Services – Northern Michigan role provides significant opportunity for earning potential through new and residual commissions on closed business.

SUMMARY

The Director of Business Development for HR Services – Northern Michigan will primarily be responsible for closing new sales by establishing relationships with local business owners, nurturing them through the entire sales process and presenting a business case and proposal. This role must be able to have value-added discussions with business owners, speaking on their level and often taking an advisory or problem-solving approach to lead generation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet or exceed new sales goals annually

Generating leads through high sales activity, networking, prospecting, and developing a strong

personal brand among local community connections

Closing sales of HR services through the drafting, presenting and negotiating contracts

Maintain updated competitor knowledge

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required

Strong relationships and network within the Northern MI business community is required

10 years of strategic and relational selling skills and experience - holding and exceeding a quota

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
